Make your organisation visible and discoverable in the X-Road ecosystem
What is it?
Member Directory Services are the registry and catalog that make your organisation, Security Servers, Subsystems, and data services visible and discoverable to other Members in the Roksnet Framework. Think of it as the “phone book” of the ecosystem – enabling others to find you and connect with your services.
Development & Production Environments
Development Environment: Test and develop X-Road data services and exchanges in a safe environment before going live.
Production Environment: Real data exchange with other ecosystem Members.
Included: Each paid Member Directory service in Production includes a free equivalent service in Development environment.

What it includes
Organisation Registration (Membership)
€50/month per organisation
Your official identity in the ecosystem. Makes your organisation metadata visible, grants access to dev environment, and enables unlimited data transactions with other Members at no extra cost.
Security Server Registration
€75/month per server
Your gateway for secure data exchange. Each Security Server needs registration in Member Directory. Includes dev environment access and enables secure peer-to-peer communication with other Members.
Subsystem Registration
€100/month per subsystem
Connect your information systems (databases, registries, APIs) to Security Server. Each subsystem can provide or consume data services. Includes dev environment and service management tools.
Self-Service Platform
Included free
Web-based Self-Service environment for ordering and managing all Member Directory Services independently. No technical expertise required for basic operations.
How to get started

Identity Verification & Application
Complete organisation identity verification via SWIFT/SEPA (€50) or EU qualified eSeal (free). After successful verification, submit an application with authorised representative documents and organisation registration certificate copy. Upon approval, you can order and manage Member Directory Services.

Activate Membership
Activate your organisation’s membership in Member Directory to become visible in the ecosystem.

Setup Security Server
Choose a Trust Service Provider, order Trust Services, install your Security Server, and register it in Member Directory.

Provide or Consume Services
To provide: Develop APIs and data services, connect them between Security Server and your Subsystem (registered in Member Directory). To consume: Connect your application to Security Server and register it as a Subsystem (you can use Roksnet Portal). You can do both!

Trust Services
PKI-based cryptographic foundation for secure and legally valid data exchanges
What is it?
Trust Services provide the PKI-based cryptographic infrastructure that enables secure authentication, digital signatures, certificate validation, and legal timestamping for all data exchanges. These services ensure that every transaction is authenticated, encrypted, signed, and legally valid
Development & Production Environments
Included: Each paid Trust Service certificate for Production environment includes a free equivalent certificate for Development environment.

- Security: Encrypted communication and mutual authentication between parties
- Legal Validity: Digital signatures and timestamps provide legal proof
- Non-Repudiation: Cannot deny transactions after they occur
- Compliance: Meets regulatory requirements for secure data exchange
What it includes
AUTH Certificates
From €100 (1 year one-time) or €13/month
Required for Security Server authentication. One AUTH certificate needed per Security Server. Enables secure TLS connection establishment between Security Servers.
SIGN Certificates (Organisation eSeal)
From €175 (1 year one-time) or €22/month
Organisation-based digital signature (eSeal). At least one per organisation required. Used to sign all outgoing messages, providing legal proof and non-repudiation.
OCSP Service
Included free
Real-time certificate validity checking. Up to 2,232 OCSP responses per month per certificate (20-minute intervals). Ensures certificates haven’t been revoked.
Timestamp Service
Included free
Legal proof of transaction time. Up to 44,640 timestamps per month per Security Server (1-minute intervals). Creates tamper-proof evidence for audit and compliance.
Note: Roksnet Trust Services are designed exclusively for use only within the Roksnet Framework and X-Road ecosystem.
Ordering & Management: All Roksnet Trust Services can be ordered and managed through the Self-Service Platform.
Alternative Trust Service Providers
Members can also use Trust Services from other Roksnet-approved providers. If you are a Trust Service Provider interested in becoming an approved partner, please contact us.

Roksnet Portal is ready-to-use web-based software (based on MISP2) that enables your users to discover, access, and consume X-Road data services through an intuitive interface – without building your own frontend application.
Use it for development/testing OR deploy with real data for production use. Configure multiple portal instances (citizen portal, business portal, internal portal) from the same software.

This is not intended for operational monitoring – Members can develop their own comprehensive monitoring solutions for X-Road components. Simple Monitoring offers a general overview for management purposes.
